Happy Anniversary, Bar Code!

Today is the 57th anniversary of the first patent on the bar code. Inventors Norman Woodland and Bernard Silver were granted their patent on October 7, 1952. The original patent was for a system that would encode data in circles (a bulls eye pattern), so that it could be scanned in any direction.

Celebrate by making your own bar code! (make it code 128, yo... 'cause code 39 is for a-holes)

Larry David on Hannah Montana

While watching this video I started panicking that someone snuck one of those funky mushrooms growing in the back yard into my salad. Surely, I must be tripping... It's Larry David on an episode of Hannah Montana. What could possibly explain this happening? Perhaps Larry's kids are huge Hannah Montana fans and he won the walk-on in a charity auction for his kids. Nah, the mushroom makes more sense.

BTW, Larry still kills in this scene... even if it is on Hannah Montana!

More retroactively awkward Letterman video

Now that we know Letterman was banging his assistant, Stephanie, it's fun to look back and see him flirting with her on national television. Watch this video and smack yourself on the head over how OBVIOUS it was that they were sleeping together...

Seth Green freaks out on the set

This looks like a real video to me. From what I can gather, some people grabbed Seth's Green's bag outside the soundstage and he's pissed at security for not being there to protect him. Anyway... it's always funny to see some 4-foot pipsqueak get all tough and start flipping over tables.

Look who was sleeping with David Letterman!

If you're an avid watcher of The Late Show, you will remember Dave's assistant. She's the cute chick who follows him around and holds the prizes that are given out to the audience. Her name is Stephanie Burkitt and it looks like she's the one that spilled the beans to Dave's blackmailer.

Interestingly enough, Entertainment Weekly did an interview with her back in 2002. This is during the time that she and Dave were allegedly bumping uglys. It's an interesting read.

Here's video of Stephanie (playing Vicki) if you don't remember who she is - (It's kind of obvious that they were bangin' if you forward to 3:30):

Gross... get those creepy dudes off of my TV! (Forward 3/4 of the way through for the fight)
