Rare monkey steals camera and takes pictures

Apparently, this is a real story: Award-winning photographer David Slater had his camera stolen by a crested black macaque in Indonesia. The monkey took these photos before the camera was recovered. The crested black macaque is an endangered species which makes these pictures even cooler.  Nice smile!

You've probably heard about the Polar Bear in Germany that died. Knute was abandoned by his parents and raised by zoo keepers. The bear was beloved by Germans and suddenly died over the weekend. Here's footage of Knute's death taken by an onlooker. The bear keeps spinning in circles and then just falls over and dies... crazy.

Panda accidently gassed to death

Well, this is sad. A giant panda, living in China's Jinan Zoo, died after accidently being gassed with carbon monoxide and chlorine.
The 21-year-old panda, Quan Quan, inhaled gases that were used to clean out a nearby former air raid shelter.
