Hershey uses foreign "slave" labor

Hershey is being accused of taking advantage of foreign students using a J-1 visa to come to America. I worked with some of these students when I was in college and know how happy they were to come to America to do some crappy job no one else here wanted to do. The least Hershey could do is treat them fairly. Well, I'm switching to Nestle... oops, I mean Cadbury.

Restaurant bans kids under 6

As a parent of a 3 month old... I have to agree with this grouchy old man. The last thing I want to do when I'm out is to dine with someone else's annoying kids. Especially when I'm at such a fancy place as the driving range restaurant.

A longer version of the story with more cranky comments is here

Guy goes nuts at school board meeting

Here's some crazy video of a man interrupting a school board meeting in Panama City, Fla., spray painting a red “V” on the wall, then shooting at the board members. He fortunately missed and no board members were harmed. The man, Clay Duke, later shot himself. (This video does not contain footage of his suicide)

Stop The Mosque music video

It's intolerant and has a catchy beat. I give it a 7.

No, this isn't a song from an upcoming South Park episode, it's a REAL video made by those crazy Mosque protesters. You know, the folks that make us look like a bunch of scared, racist rednecks. Oops, I forgot tone-deaf. Amerukuh... F-yeah!

Beacon Pinball Arcade on CNN

I'm not sure how we missed this, but CNN covered the city of Beacon shutting down the Retro Arcade Museum. They did kind of leave out the part about the museum getting all sorts of noise complaints and the city trying to relocate it... but it's a much better story without all of those pesky facts.

Headline of the week

UFO spotted in China

This Unidentified Flying Object closed down an airport in Hangzhou:

Some are speculating that it's a private jet (no way), "rocket debris" (fat chance) or a military test (probably). Of course, it could be a real-life district 9 situation. I'm certain that the Chinese won't be as friendly to the aliens as the South Africans were. Full story here.

Fireworks mishap at the HV Renegades game

Here's video of the fireworks fail at the Hudson Valley Renegades game on Friday night. Forward to 1:50 to see the first problem firework fly through the fence and down the 3rd base line. The real scary one happens at 2:28 when a rocket zooms over the spectators' heads and lands on top of one of the luxury boxes.

The incident is currently under investigation.

Update: Here's video from a much closer point of view
