Posted by Boris at

I have a suggestion for the Middle East. Less fighty, more drinky.

If you're wondering what people are drinking around the world, here's another chart:

Miley Cyrus caught drinking a beer
Posted by Boris at
6:15 AM
Perhaps it was to help her cope with her parents splitting up (and her mom having an affair with Brett Michaels), but Miley Cyrus was caught in Madrid drinking a beer. The drinking age in Spain is 18 and Miley is currently only 17, but according to local authorities underage drinking isn't a big deal and not usually dealt with by law enforcement. So, what do you think... is this a huge scandal or not?

Musical beer!

Introducing Tuned Pale Ale from Philadelphia. The label has marks to let you know how much you need to drink in order to make sweet music by blowing over the neck.
Warning to jug band members: Emmet Otter was found passed out next to an empty case of these last week.

Tomorrow kicks off the happiest celebration on earth: Oktoberfest! This year's festivities take place in Munich from September 18th through October 3rd. If you can't make it to Germany, at least get yourself to a local Oktoberfest celebration this month. Enjoy some good beer and German food with your friends and try not to fall out of your lederhosen. Ein Prosit!

It's official: drinking makes you live longer!
Posted by Boris at
7:32 AM
A study was released yesterday that proves (once again) drinking is good for you. The shocking part of the study is that people who don't drink at all have the shortest life span... even heavy drinkers live longer than those who abstain! The group with the higest longevity was the moderate drinkers (1-3 a day). Don't believe me? Check out the whole study published by Time magazine.

Introducing the Hopsicle
Posted by Boris at
5:34 AM
Time for a road trip to the East Village! A bar down there has introduced the Hopsicle. It's a can of beer that's been infused with sugar and lime juice then frozen for 4 days with a stick poking out. The bartender slices the can in half and you've got one of the best tasting push-pops ever!Link

PBR is a fancy expensive beverage in China
Posted by Boris at
5:35 AM
Here in America, we call it PBR and drink it because it's the cheapest beer in the bar. In China it's called Pabst Blue Ribbon 1844 and it costs $44 a bottle! Same recipe, same beer, different fancy bottle. I wonder how much a case of Natural Light costs over there. Full article.

A Beer ad that could never run in the USA
Posted by Boris at
6:01 AM
We're way too politically correct to stand for something like this; an ad that's actually funny and not really offensive in the least.
