Fatties celebrate: Dorito Tacos are coming!

Congratulations, Taco Bell... you've got my attention. Currently, Taco Bell is testing tacos with shells made of Doritos. Click the photo for more information and a video. This should push the remaining 30% of us non-obese Americans right over the edge. Thanks.

Fatty-Fat Friday!

OK, I think I've found something that might actually be more amazing than Richard Blais' deep-fried mayonaise from this week's Top Chef. Three beautiful words all strung together: Deep... Fried... Nutella.

What was in the yogurt?

This will make you think twice the next time you're offered a free sample at the grocery store.

Dunkin' Donuts selling meat munchkins

My first thought was "Are these made from ACTUAL Munchkins?" Thankfully, the answer is no. Here's the actual description from DD:

Everyone loves a traditional pancake and sausage breakfast, but in our typical busy day it’s almost impossible to find the time it takes to sit down and enjoy it. With our new Pancake Bites, we’ve put the traditional taste of pancakes and sausage into a portable, poppable snack that you can take with you on the go, in the car, at work or any time day or night.

They've finally done it!

Just when you thought they'd deep-fried everything that could ever be deep fried... They find out a way to deep-fry beer! These pillows of amazingness will be featured at the Texas State Fair at the end of September. Anyone up for a road trip?

Check out the official fried beer website here.

Introducing the Hopsicle

Time for a road trip to the East Village! A bar down there has introduced the Hopsicle. It's a can of beer that's been infused with sugar and lime juice then frozen for 4 days with a stick poking out. The bartender slices the can in half and you've got one of the best tasting push-pops ever!

Fatty-Fat Friday!

You'll have to head out to the Iowa State Fair if you want to try the "Hot Beef Sundae". It was created in 2006 as a new twist on the hot fudge sundae. Mmmmmmmmm.

Secret Ingredients montage

It's the best 2 seconds of every episode of Iron Chef America... when the Chairman yells out the secret ingredient. "Sau-SEEGE!"

Drama at this year's hot dog eating contest

The 95th annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Competition was rocked with controversy after Joey Chestnut's victory. Joey had his fourth consecutive win, scarfing down 54 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

Chestnut's arch-rival, and six-time champ, Takeru Kobayashi was arrested for attempting to storm the stage after the competition. Kobayashi was not allowed to compete due to contractual issues with Major League Eating (seriously).

The American "ethnic" section

You know how grocery stores now have "ethnic" sections with foods from different European countries? In Europe, they have the same thing... only the "ethnic" section contains food from the USA. My only gripe: Where's the baconnaise?

On July 1st the world changes forever!

All I can say is - it's about time!!! Subway released this memo to all of its franchises last week. The days of lopsided sandwiches are over! I can't believe it took them this long to figure out that stacking those triangles in the same direction left one side of the sandwich with hardly any cheese...
*Update - It seems as if this memo is for franchises in New Zeland and Austrailia ONLY! Say it ain't so, Subway!!!! Looks like customers with OCD will have to continue to look away as those cheese triangles continue to horribly overlap during the construction of our sandwiches.

This shake = 68 slices of bacon!

Men's Health magazine is out with their list of the worst beverages in America. Topping the list is the Cold Stone Creamery's PB&C shake. In "Gotta Have It" size it's got 2,010 calories - 10 calories more than the recommended daily allowance for a 125lb woman! That's as many calories as 68 bacon slices. And it has as much sugar as 30 chocolate chip cookies.

Other bad beverages include the DQ MooLatte, Red Lobster Lobsterita and McDonald's Triple Thick Chocolate Shake. To see the whole list, check out this link.

Lost Recipes

I'm still trying to come up with some Sayid dishes for my Lost party... this website will help out. Why not try a WAAAAAALTed Milkshake, a Julieomelet or maybe some E-Claires.

White Castle candle

Usually you light a match AFTER eating one of these sliders! If you love the smell of fresh White Castle hamburgers and don't have the time to drive down to New Jersey you're now in luck! In honor of National Cheeseburger Month, White Castle has released a $10 burger-scented candle. Just fire up this bad-boy and your clothes will reek like steamed beef and onions in no time. On a positive note, all proceeds from the sale of the candles go to Autism research.

Making the KFC Double Down more awesome

The KFC Double Down is sweeping the nation with it's fried-pieces-of-chicken-for-bread goodness. You might not think it could get any better... but add a Krispy Kreme donut and you've got a winner!

George Costanza loves the McDLT

The 80's were a crazy time. People wore over sized sports jackets, danced in the streets while killing the environment with ridiculous Styrofoam packaging... and would get pissed off if they were served warm lettuce and tomato on their burgers. And, oh yeah, Seinfeld didn't even exist. Weird, huh?

If this Domino's pizza box is accurate, a 6-fingered alien will win this year's competition.

That's a big weiner

Here's another submission from our pal, Obsessive Rob: BigHotDog.com. They produce, what else: big hot dogs. These suckers are 16 incles long and weigh 7 pounds!

You can slice them up and cook them like hamburgers on the grill. The creepy guy in the video kind of makes me not want to buy one... but it actually does sound like a good idea for a big barbecue.

To order, visit their website.
